AGM's History

Lawrie began his career in 1988, working in sales in the mining and construction equipment industry. Lawrie noticed a gap in the market after dealing with many transport companies over the years. He found that client communication didn’t seem to be at the forefront of people’s minds and regular updates were not provided when needed most.

Thus, AGM was created to fill this gap. Lawrie’s industry experience and valuable connections led to exclusive contracts with some of the largest brands in the construction/mining equipment industry.

Using his wealth of knowledge in the plant and equipment space, Lawrie was able to provide expert advice to clients. Having dealt directly with the customer side, he knew what it took to get the machine there on time, every time, and was only a phone call away for any enquiries needed.

In 2022, Lawrie’s son Luke joined the business as the operations manager to learn the ropes of the family business. He had completed a Bachelor of Applied Finance and experienced a career in the banking/finance industry. Using his analytical approach in combination with his father’s expertise, the pair plan to continue growing the family brand.
